Abstract

This study aims to select vegetation as a landslide controller in the Cengkehan River Valley, Imogiri District, Bantul Regency, Special Region of Yogyakarta. It is adjusted to the characteristics and thickness of the landslide, the height, and slope of the morphology, the typical roots and the suitability of the community interest of the plant species. The slope of the valley is 15°-60° and 75-325 meters above sea level. Landslides are on the north cliff in the direction of landslides, N 234°E, along the morphological orientation directed at N324°E. Landslides are slides that combine with the movement of rocks (wedge failure). Landslide material results from weathering of basalt that the degree of weathering of rock is not continuous between levels III and V. The soil is eluvial sediment which is identified as latosol with thickness up to 2 meters. The recommended vegetation for shallow landslide type is deep-rooted vegetation. They are Dalbergia pinnata and Parkia speciosa, especially for land with slope between 21 to 40%. Recommended vegetation for slopes above 40% is Aleurites moluccana. Latosol conservation for landslide mitigation can be optimized for soil fertility and productivity through the use of straw, leaves and banana peels.

Abstract

Coal is a solid hydrocarbon rock formed from organic deposits, plant remnants in an oxygen-free environment, effects of pressure and heat that lasts very long. Indonesian coal contains very high sulfur pyrite. Very high levels of sulfur in coal cause environmental pollution and damage to combustion tools. The aim of this research is to reduce the sulfur content in coal using the flotation method, using aloe vera gel. Flotation, the process of separating solids that occur due to differences in surface properties and takes place in a system consisting of three phases, namely the gas, liquid and solid phases, with the help of surfactants there will be a separation between the hydrophobic component and the hydrophilic component, where coal which was originally hydrophilic is converted into hydrophobic with the help of surfactants, thus that the sulfur inside can be separated. In this study, aloe vera gel was used as a surfactant which has high saponin levels. The addition of surfactants causes coal components that are less hydrophobic to become more hydrophobic. Based on the research, the more the addition of aloe vera gel in the flotation process, the more sulfur is taken and the optimum amount of aloe vera gel is 300 ml can reduce sulfur by 45.4024%. As for the flow rate, the smaller the flow rate, the longer contact time and the optimum air flow rate is 0.376 L/minute able to absorb 38.7776% sulfur.

Abstract

This time, parent's academic information system service or SIORTU is often found on several campuses. One of the campuses that provides this system is Islam Indonesia University. This system made for helping parents of students to monitor their children's academic activities. Until now, many parent of student who have not used this system. There are 20.068 SIORTU accounts provided for parents of students from 2015 to 2018. But, only 7.361 or 36,68% account who active between April 2018 and Maret 2019. This research discusses factors that influence to use siorto and why these factors are included. Expectations of this research, gave feedback to owner of SIORTU service to improve that system, provide references for future research and provide references for educational institution. So that, SIORTU can be use as expected. This research is a quantitative research, which is done by analyzing the data in the form of voting from 75 respondents. The research respondent is parent of student from Islam Indonesia University who have used this system from April 2018 to March 2019. The software who they use to analyze is SmartPLS 3 by Partial Least Squares (PLS) method. The result of analysis who obtained was pointing that factors that influence this system are social influence, facilitating condition, habit, behavioral intention. These factors are evidence from the result of the analysis which show a positive value on original sample estimate and significant value on T statistic.

Abstract

The combination of colors of a website is one of the most important things to make an attractive website look. To determine the color combination of a website, it is necessary to pay attention to the proper harmonization and contrast. This research is conducted on the website of the Klaten Regency Government. The purpose of this research is to determine the color combination based on the desires of the website visitors. The method used is the theory of color psychology by Goethe and Itten, using the Color Extraction tool to find the dominant colors. The preparation of the questionnaire is assisted by psychologists, and the results of the questionnaire are used as references to determine the new color combinations of the website. 77 website visitors like the new color combinations created based on psychological questionnaires, therefore, it can be concluded that the new color combinations are accepted by the website visitors. This research proves that color determination based on the color psychology can be implemented in the website color combinations’ construction.

Abstract

The needs for colorant is increasing, so the colorant produced by natural substances begin to be substituted for synthetic colorant as technology and knowledge develop. The substitution can reduce production cost, but the synthetic colorants have negative effects. The synthetic colorants can be dangerous to our health and environment if they are used for food colorants and textile industry. Therefore, natural substances such as avocado seeds are still needed for coloring which is eco-friendly by applying science and technological development. This research aim to study the effect of extraction time and the ratio of solvent concentration to the concentration of anthocyanin extract and find good conditions in the anthocyanin color test process with the extraction time and the ratio of solvent concentration variable. This research has been carried out through 4 (four) stages: (i) extracting anthocyanin, (ii) separating the anthocyanin extract uses a solvent, (iii) coloring the fabric uses anthocyanin extract which is more concentrated, (iv) testing the anthocyanin colorant by washing it uses detergent. Dissolved anthocyanin concentration analysis is carried out with a UV-Visible Spectrophotometer. This method is applied for discovering the quantity of anthocyanins dissolved in the detergent solution after washing the cloth that has been colored. The research indicate that the largest anthocyanin extract is 0.10002 mL anthocyanin /mL solvent when the extraction time is 150 minutes and the ratio of solvent concentration is 1:13.

Abstract

Electronic records management information system in the Sragen regency government (SIALEK) is an information system that functions to store records in digital form such as letter, photo and other archives. SIALEK can be accessed by each regional apparatus organization (OPD) to store the files of each OPD. Data stored at this time is only for storage. For several years, the electronic archive management information system in Sragen regency government has been very minimal in operation. The reason is the decline in performance on the information system. The decrease in performance is due to the data structure in the database owned by SIALEK that is not well organized and when there is already a lot of data, so the performance decreases. This research aims to provide a proposal for modeling a new database to improve the performance of SIALEK and modeling a new information system to maximize the function of SIALEK to provide information about archiving to the Sragen district government. By changing the database to PostgreSQL and normalizing the table structure. The results showed that there were differences in performance in the form of fast response time and smaller database table sizes after normalizing and moving databases. The modeling of the new system makes SIALEK not only a storage medium but also produces some information in the form of a dashboard on the system that is useful for providing information related to the archives of the Sragen district government.

Abstract

Uncaria Tomentosa plants grow around Pontianak and peat forests in West Kalimantan. The leaves of it turned out to have a high selling value, even some were exported abroad. The benefits of Uncaria Tomentosa leaves are as an ingredient in making herbal tea. This leaf has efficacy as a remedy for sore bronchitis, sore throat, water fat, tumors, asthma, and clamydia or sexually transmitted diseases, especially in young women. Departing from this, there needs to be publications that reveal scientifically about this plant. So that by knowing the content of compounds that are in the leaves can break the community to be able to process it from raw material into pure material so that it hopes will increase the sale value even higher. But to go there, of course, must first start from basic research. The content of chemical compounds in plants is called phytochemicals. This Plant has chemical compounds source that can be used as medicine. The method used in this research is experimentation in the laboratory. Using phytochemical screening tests following Novindriana, et. al. (2013) procedure. The result is that the ethanol extract of Uncaria Tomentosa leaves contains alkaloid, flavonoid, polyphenol, triterpenoid, steroid, saponin, and tanin compounds.

Abstract

The main source of Electricity Energy in Indonesia currently uses fossil fuels, such as oil, coal and others which formation takes a very long time and their use causes pollution. As we know that the supply of fossil fuels in Indonesia in general is running low. The fact shows that since 2004 Indonesia has imported petroleum because domestic oil reserves are insufficient. The electricity installed in most Sulang Kidul residents is 450 VA with an average monthly cost of around Rp. 40,000-Rp. 60,000. The need for electricity usage is still slightly affected by the economic conditions of Sulang Kidul residents who are in the middle to lower levels. Not much household electronic equipment is used. Most residents use electricity only for lighting and television. The potential electricity produced is 23m3x4.7 kWh = 108.1 kWh/day or 3243 kWH/month. With household purchasing power of Rp.930/kWh compared to the average selling price of biogas electricity (of three interest rates) which is still below the purchasing power for household electricity, which is Rp.457.55/kWh. So farmers around Sulang Kidul can afford to buy electricity with the biogas fuel.

Abstract

The use of structured databases is still very widely used by companies in small and medium scale with the aim of processing data so that from these data conclusions can be drawn to determine a decision. But over time, of course the need for data that continues to grow can make a system run very slowly when using a structured database. That is caused by the amount of data that continues to increase every day, even for certain cases the data can increase every second. For this reason, an unstructured database is needed specifically for storing history data. From some existing unstructured databases, InfluxDB is one of the unstructured databases specifically intended for storing history data and has a very good ability to process data into a matrix for analysis. One of the key factors in an unstructured database is the database structure which is very different and supports to maximize database performance.

Abstract

PT. ISI is one of the furniture industries in Bantul area. In that area there are a lot of advanced furniture industries. To compete with similar company, we need a perfect product quality to gain the trust of consumer. Thus good quality control effort is needed by PT. ISI to be able to compete and continue to grow. The problems from this research that is what type of defective product that occur and how the quality of the final product at PT. ISI. The steps in this research are first collecting defect product data, calculating Center Line (CL), Upper Control Limit (UCL) and Lower Control Limit (LCL) and then identifying cause and effect of defects using a fishbone diagram. There are five types of defects in the production process of PT ISI, the five types of defects are broken or cracked, the color is not appropriate, scratch, impact former and lamination. The implementation of the final product quality control at PT ISI is still within the control limit, this can be seen in the control chart graph which shows no deviation that occur from the upper control limit and the lower control limit.
